Georgia Woman Arrested for Alleged Mail Theft and Child Cruelty

Jessica Rae Mabli was arrested on July 30, after a citizen reported suspicious activity involving mail theft in the Northlake Drive Subdivision of Burke County. Deputies apprehended Mabli following a traffic stop on Highway 25 North, where they discovered stolen mail and other illicit items in her vehicle.

At around 5:45 a.m., Burke County Dispatch received a call from a resident about a suspicious woman, later identified as Jessica Rae Mabli, seen rummaging through mailboxes in the Northlake Drive Subdivision. Deputies quickly responded and tracked Mabli’s vehicle, a white Volkswagen, as it left the area.

A traffic stop was initiated when Mabli made a sudden turn onto Four Points Road. During the stop, deputies observed Mabli discarding U.S. Mail onto the roadway. After a brief chase, Mabli was arrested.

Accompanying her in the vehicle was her minor child, seated in the front passenger seat. Investigators obtained a search warrant for Mabli’s vehicle, uncovering a substantial amount of mail from Burke, Richmond, and Grovetown neighborhoods, along with numerous credit cards, driver’s licenses, social security cards, and checks.
