According to prosecutors, Abdurrahim Jalal took about $88,000 from the machine’s vault after the explosion.

The Details: On March 29, at approximately 3:11 a.m., an explosion rocked the Bank of America ATM at North DeKalb Mall. Abdurrahim Jalal is accused of causing the explosion and subsequently taking the money from the machine’s vault. Prosecutors say a search of his home revealed additional explosive devices.

In Context: Abdurrahim Jalal made his initial court appearance on September 27. The case is part of the Project Safe Neighborhoods initiative, aimed at reducing violent crime.
