A traffic stop in Fulton County turned fatal when a suspect opened fire on law enforcement, leading to the death of the suspect and the sheriff’s K9, Titan.

Just the Facts:

Pursuit and Attempted Stop: Around 11 p.m. on November 13, a Coweta County Deputy attempted to pull over a Chrysler 300 on North Highway 29 near Tommy Lee Cook Road. The driver fled, prompting a high-speed pursuit that crossed into Fulton County at speeds up to 110 mph.

Confrontation: The deputy conducted a PIT maneuver to stop the car and deployed K9 Titan. As the dog approached, the suspect opened fire, fatally injuring Titan.
