MACON — Residents of the 2800 block of Pierce Drive North were awakened early Thursday morning by the unsettling sight of a suspicious man attempting to break into a home. The incident, which took place at 5:30 a.m., saw the alleged burglar cutting the lock to a power box and shutting off the lights to the residence in an attempt to gain entry.

MACON — Residents of the 2800 block of Pierce Drive North were awakened early Thursday morning by the unsettling sight of a suspicious man attempting to break into a home. The incident, which took place at 5:30 a.m., saw the alleged burglar cutting the lock to a power box and shutting off the lights to the residence in an attempt to gain entry.

Erich Thomas Dugan, 41, of Macon, was apprehended by Bibb County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Deputies shortly after they were dispatched to the scene. Dugan is now facing charges of criminal attempt to commit a felony at the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center.
