With temperatures approaching 70 degrees in The Peach State for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, Georgian’s are preparing for a Christmas that feels more like spring or early summer.
The elves at The Georgia Sun have been up to a bit of mischief and have re-written the lyrics to “White Christmas” to fit Georgia’s temperatures this year. Our deepest apologies to Irving Berlin who wrote the original.
Here we go:
I’m dreaming of a T-shirt Christmas,
Nary a snowflake dares to fall.
With the sunbeams glistening, children listening,
To the sound of flip-flops down the hall.

I’m dreaming of a sweat-filled Christmas,
We’ve got the AC on tonight
With stockings hung with care, but we’re all in swimwear,
And Santa is sipping Lemonade
I’m sitting in my shorts on Christmas,
Sending out Christmas barbecue invites,
May your steaks be savory and light,
And may all your Christmases be sunscreen-bright.
