What’s Happening: Cobb County Police responded around 6 p.m. to a call about a shooting at 300 Concepts 21 Circle. They found Cody Chavous, 33, from Austell, with serious injuries. He was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital but died there. Police have notified his family.

Michael Sumler, known to fans as “Chicago Mike,” died late Saturday night in a car crash on Veterans Memorial Highway near Buckner Road in Mableton. He was 71.

🔍 The Details: According to new information released Friday by the Cobb County Police Department, upon further investigation, it has been determined that the motorcycle operated by Christopher Johnson (38, Mableton) initially collided with the bicycle ridden by Melissa Winslow (32, Marietta). The impact sent the bicycle into the westbound lanes, where a vehicle collided with the bicycle only.
