The Gist: A police shooting in Sandy Springs has left one man with minor injuries after a drug investigation took a dangerous turn.
What Happened?: On July 25, at about 3:30 p.m., officers conducting a drug investigation near the Victoria Heights apartments on Roswell Road. were confronted by Benjamin Wright.
According to the GBI, Wright was seen emerging from an apartment in body armor and brandishing a firearm. The officers fired shots in response.
Wright, alongside a woman, was later apprehended after retreating back into the apartment.
According to the GBI, Wright sustained minor injuries in the shooting.
