What Happened?: On Monday, July 10, officers responded to a 911 call regarding a domestic incident near the 5700 block of Mt. Olive Road in Commerce. Upon arrival, officers encountered a man wielding a machete-like weapon.
According to the GBI, despite verbal commands to put down the weapon, the man refused. Consequently, officers fired their weapons, hitting the man.
