Governor Brian Kemp announced that Idea Nuova, Inc. will invest over $19 million in a new manufacturing and distribution facility in Sylvania, creating an estimated 80 new jobs in Screven County.
Idea Nuova designs, sources, manufactures, and markets premium home textiles and furnishings, which can be found in the nation’s largest retailers. The 400,000-square-foot facility will be strategically located to service Idea Nuova’s customers in the Southeast. It will support the production and manufacturing of soft home products such as pillows, comforters, and quilts.
Operations are expected to begin in March 2023, and job seekers can learn more about employment opportunities by emailing hr@ideanuova.com.
In a statement, Governor Kemp praised the project, saying it is just the latest outcome of the good work being done in Georgia to expand opportunities in every corner of the state.

“This is a great day for the City of Sylvania and Screven County as we welcome Idea Nuova and the new jobs that will be created through this investment,” said Speaker Jon Burns, who represents Screven County.
Mayor Preston Dees of Sylvania said the city was honored to welcome Idea Nuova to the community, while Screven County Development Authority Chairman Stephen Milner said the company would provide great opportunities for the residents of the city, county, and region.
The project was supported by the Georgia Ports Authority, which helped to bring Idea Nuova to Georgia and provided logistical support for the project.
The Georgia Department of Economic Development Global Commerce team also played a key role in the project, working with local partners to execute the plan in a short period of time.
“We’re excited to welcome Idea Nuova to Georgia, and we thank our partners for their hard work and dedication,” said GDEcD Commissioner Pat Wilson.
