Outbound traffic on Ga. 53 was brought to a standstill on Wednesday morning due to an overturned tractor-trailer at Hermitage Road in Floyd County.
According to a statement released by the Floyd County Police Department, the incident resulted in the blockage of all northbound traffic on the road.
Drivers should avoid the area if possible and seek alternate routes.
Authorities are working to clear the scene and reopen the road as soon as possible.
