Here’s how you can learn more about the Mableton Cityhood movement

The Mableton cityhood referendum is expected to be on the Nov. 8 general election ballot. Information from this meeting will help in your decision on election day.

Residents of the proposed city of Mableton can learn more about the cityhood movement at a community forum from 6:30 -to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 17, at the Cobb County PoliceTraining Academy at 2435 East-West Connector, Austell.

Representatives from several Cobb County departments will answer questions, including the Department of Transportation, PARKS, Economic Development, Code Enforcement and the county’s chief financial officer.

The proposed city’s boundaries include the unincorporated areas of Austell in 30106 and 30168 and all of Mableton.
