Violations are issued in accordance with Georgia law, which allows for the use of automated speed detection devices in school zones from one hour prior to the start of the school day, until one hour after the end of the school day. This includes “the time in which instructional classes are taking place.” The posted times regulate the strictness of the enforcement, as that is when children are actively coming and going from the school.
