A Suwanee man died in a Friday afternoon motorcycle crash on a Lawrenceville road.

According to the Gwinnett County Police Department, shortly before 6 p.m. Friday, March 27, officers were dispatched to an injury crash at the intersection of Collins Hill Road and Russell Road in unincorporated Lawrenceville. The caller told dispatchers a motorcycle driver was involved and was injured.

The motorcycle driver, 49-year-old Robert Boren was transported to a local hospital where he died as a result of his injuries. 

“Based on the preliminary investigation, the driver of a Honda Accord attempted to turn left in front of the motorcycle who was traveling straight. The vehicles collided, and the motorcycle driver was ejected,” Police spokeswoman Michele Pihera said.

The investigation is still active; no charges have been filed at this time. The driver and passenger inside the Honda were not injured.
