Braves Fans, Have You Seen 'Carrollton Blooper?'

Carrollton residents have a new reason to put on their Atlanta Braves gear and step outside. A local version of the Braves mascot, affectionately named “Carrollton Blooper,” has emerged as a symbol of both sports enthusiasm and community spirit on Spence Road.

The initiative comes from the owners of the property where “Carrollton Blooper” resides. According to the owners, they set up this display every year and this time they’re pledging to donate $1 for every picture tagged to their social media accounts to the Carroll County Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA).

For those not in the know, CASA is a nationwide organization with a branch in Carroll County, dedicated to representing the best interests of abused and neglected children in the courtroom and other settings. The organization has played a pivotal role in ensuring that children in the welfare system are placed in safe and permanent homes.

When it comes to visitor etiquette, there’s only one major rule: “Please don’t stand on Blooper,” as noted in a social media post about the event. Local law enforcement stopped by for a photo opportunity at the Spence Road location, making sure to respect the standing request.

Community members are encouraged to stop by dressed in their Atlanta Braves paraphernalia to snap a selfie with the mascot. Those interested can follow and tag the Carrollton Blooper on social media via @carrolltonblooper and use the hashtag #carrolltonblooper.

The Atlanta Braves have long been a symbol of regional pride for residents of Georgia, and initiatives like this only strengthen the communal bonds. So if you’re a Braves fan residing in or around Carrollton, don’t miss out on this opportunity to show your spirit and contribute to a local cause.
