Argument inside a Tucker pharmacy leads to shooting

A Stone Mountain resident, Malcolm Emmanuel Nicholas, 30, was arrested on August 3, following a shooting incident at a Tucker pharmacy, according to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office.

Nicholas is accused of firing a handgun inside a LaVista Road pharmacy on July 28, during an argument with another person.

The incident, which did not result in any injuries, involved three customers and one employee who were present at the scene.

The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Unit, with the assistance of DeKalb Police K9 and S.W.A.T. Units, apprehended Nicholas without incident at an Arbor Circle residence in Tucker. He is now facing multiple counts of Aggravated Assault Weapon, a felony.

Nicholas was transported to the DeKalb County Jail following his arrest, where he is currently being held without bond.

The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office has not released further details about the incident or the ongoing investigation.
