These storms could bring damaging wind gusts, with the primary hazard being the strong winds.
In addition, the forecast predicts that central Georgia will see 2 to 4 inches of rain through Sunday, which could lead to isolated flooding concerns in areas that receive heavy rain for prolonged periods of time.

In the north and portions of central Georgia, residents can expect periods of wintry precipitation starting Saturday night through Sunday morning.
Snow accumulations of up to a few inches are possible along the mountaintops and ridgeline of far Northern Georgia above 2,000 feet in elevation. Other areas north of a line from Columbus to Macon to Augusta could see a light dusting of snow.
