The weather service reports that rain may begin to mix with snow at times, mainly above 2,500 feet and generally after midnight tonight, and then change over to all snow by early Sunday morning.

Another change in the forecast for north and central Georgia has been issued by the National Weather Service as the low-pressure system moves across the southeast states.

The weather service reports that rain may begin to mix with snow at times, mainly above 2,500 feet and generally after midnight tonight, and then change over to all snow by early Sunday morning.

The new forecast predicts up to one inch of snow possible at the highest elevations, which is less snow than previously expected.

In addition to the widespread rainfall and potential wintry weather in the highest elevations, winds will still be gusty across the entire outlook area. The previously issued Wind Advisory remains in effect for this afternoon through the overnight hours.
