A truck driver died Tuesday morning when his vehicle left the road and crashed in Cherokee County.
What Happened: The crash took place around 11:40 a.m. in the Free Home area. The truck went off the road, hit a power pole, and flipped over. The driver died at the scene.
What It Means For You: Highway 372 near Free Home Elementary is closed while police investigate. Expect delays if you travel through that area.
What We Don’t Know: Police are still working to figure out what caused the crash. No other vehicles were involved.

Preliminary indications are that the tractor trailer left the roadway and went down an embankment, causing the tractor-trailer to flip and killing the driver.
