Two U.S. Postal Service employees in Macon have been arrested on felony charges tied to a mail theft investigation, and authorities are looking for two more suspects connected to the same case.

What’s happening: 26-year-old Anthony Tyler Thomas and 28-year-old Toni Jones-Coleman, were both identified as suspects after a joint investigation by the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office and the U.S. Postal Service. Both worked for the Postal Service at the time of the investigation.

The arrests: Thomas was arrested Monday morning, March 30, at the Zebulon Road Post Office while on shift. He was taken to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Criminal Investigation Division and then to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center. He faces a felony charge of theft by possession of stolen property. Jones-Coleman turned herself in the following day, March 31, just before 1 p.m. She was transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center and charged with felony theft by taking, which means taking property that belongs to someone else. Both have since posted bond and been released.

Two more suspects wanted: The Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for help finding 46-year-old Summer Battle and 30-year-old Savon Lashaun Harris. Both are described as former Postal Service employees. Each is wanted in Bibb County on a felony charge of theft by possession of stolen property.

Still developing: The Sheriff’s Office says the investigation is ongoing and that additional charges are possible.
