Two men are seriously hurt after a runaway trailer hit them on the side of I-20, and now police need your help to find the driver who fled the scene. The men were stopped on the shoulder of the highway when the crash happened.
What’s Happening: DeKalb County Police say a trailer came loose from a moving pickup truck on I-20 West near Wesley Chapel Road around 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The trailer then crashed into two men who were stopped on the shoulder working to reattach their own trailer to their truck.
What’s Important: The two men suffered serious injuries but are expected to survive. The driver of the pickup truck that lost the trailer did not stop, and police have no description of the truck or the driver.
How You Can Help: Police are asking anyone who saw the crash or has information to come forward. They released a picture of the trailer involved, which is made of wood and metal with some rust.
