A man was fatally struck by a vehicle on Thanksgiving evening while crossing South Cobb Drive, according to Cobb County police.
What Happened?:
• When: Thursday, shortly after 7:30 p.m.
• Where: South Cobb Drive, south of Appleton Drive.
Police say a gray 2016 Ford Escape was traveling north on South Cobb Drive when it struck a man crossing the road outside of a marked crosswalk. The vehicle came to a controlled stop in a nearby driveway.
The Victim: The man, whose identity and age have not been released, was transported to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
