A 36-year-old Mableton man was killed late Saturday night in a pedestrian collision on Mableton Parkway, just north of its intersection with Community Drive. The crash occurred around 10:49 p.m., according to the Cobb County Police Department.
The Details: Preliminary findings suggest the man was walking east across Mableton Parkway outside of a designated crosswalk when he was struck by a white 2020 Nissan Murano. The collision sent the man into the northbound lane, where he came to rest and was later pronounced dead by the Cobb County Medical Examiner’s Office. The driver of the Nissan was able to stop the vehicle just north of Community Drive.
What’s Next: Authorities have not yet released the name of the victim, as his next of kin has not been notified.
