A man is dead after being hit by a car while walking in Savannah on Wednesday night. Police are now investigating what happened at the busy intersection.

What’s Happening: Savannah police were called to the corner of Abercorn Street and East 63rd Street around 6:55 p.m. on October 22. They found a man who had been struck by a vehicle and was unresponsive.

What’s Important: First responders rushed the man to Memorial Health University Medical Center, but he died from his injuries.

The driver of the car stayed at the scene, and police have not made any arrests.
