A fatal crash on Riggins Mill Road, near the Hubert Smart Airport claimed the life of a Macon resident early Sunday morning.
According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, Michael Burnett, a 48-year-old motorcyclist, collided with a Chevrolet Silverado around 12:39 a.m.
Burnett, from Macon, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Chevrolet was not injured.
The Sheriff’s office is seeking any information that might shed more light on the fatal crash. Those with pertinent information are encouraged to reach out and speak with a Fatality Investigator at 478-751-7500.
