A fatal crash Wednesday evening on Powers Ferry Road in Cobb County has left one Marietta resident dead and another hospitalized as the Cobb County Police Department examines the details of the collision.
Details: A 2010 silver Toyota Camry carrying two Marietta residents was heading east on Powers Ferry Road near Bonnie Glen Court around 5:46 p.m. when it veered out of its lane, crossed into oncoming traffic, and went off the road. The car plunged down an embankment before colliding with a tree. Emergency services transported both occupants to WellStar Kennestone Hospital, where one later died from injuries. The names of the victims have not been released.
