What’s Happening: Sandy Springs Police were on the scene just before 7:30 p.m. Drivers were told to expect delays and slow down while passing through.

What’s Important: The crash happened on I-285, the highway that loops around Atlanta and runs through the north side of Sandy Springs. It is one of the busiest roads in the metro area, and crashes there can back up traffic quickly.

The Path Forward: Police did not say how long the scene would stay active or when the road would fully clear.
