A 66-year-old man lost his life in a head-on collision on Tucker Road at Foster Road in Macon Tuesday afternoon.
The fatal crash, reported at 2:11 p.m., prompted an immediate response from the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.
When deputies arrived, they found the elderly man unresponsive. Despite efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene by Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones. The man’s name has not yet been released as authorities are notifying his family.
In the second vehicle, a 22-year-old woman was injured and transported to the hospital by ambulance. She is currently in stable condition, according to medical staff.
