A morning drive turned tragic on Hawkinsville Road near Allen Road when a pedestrian was struck and killed just before 6 a.m. Sunday.
According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, 24-year-old Johnathan Howard of Bibb County was walking in the roadway when he was hit by a Ford Focus heading northbound. The driver, a 30-old man from Warner Robins, was unharmed in the collision.
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating the incident to determine the cause of the collision and if any charges are warranted.
