Georgia Congressman Rich McCormick had a rough night Thursday at a town hall in Roswell. He was met with angry constituents demanding answers and action.
You can read our coverage of the heated town hall here.
The next day, word of the town hall spread through social media and the rest of the country responded to McCormick’s icy reception and his demeanor towards the constituents he represents. Here is what people are saying about Georgia’s 7th District Congressman.
Constituents in +20 Trump district GA-07 chanting “Shame! Shame! Shame!” at Rich McCormick for not denouncing Trump as king. Dude is palpably uncomfortable. Good. But… UHHH… wondering where this energy was prior to the election…. 🙄 Anywho. Call out your MAGA representatives too. It does matter.

Rich McCormick is nothing but an empty suit, MAGA, kiss-ass. The demographics in his district are changing to BLUE because intelligent people are moving in and pushing the rednecks out.

If there was ever a lesson on how to NOT deal with angry constituents it would be witnessed profoundly in the words and actions of Rich McCormick.

GA Rep. Rich McCormick after getting booed at a town hall – “I wanted to have a discussion about how we can… solve some problems. I didn’t have to come here.” How about legislation for mandatory town halls while in office? 4 per session minimum

Ironic that at his townhall meeting in Roswell GA, Rep. Rich McCormick kept using the word "duplicitous" to refer to CDC employees when I suspect he meant "duplicative." Something Freudian going on here? ("I happen to be a doctor," he said, "so I do know a few things." Maybe not psychology?)

Why don't replace Rich McCormick with AI? I bet it's much smarter than any politician. Cheaper too.
