Ever dreamed of owning your very own police car? Now’s your chance. The City of Blakely is auctioning off a 2011 Ford Crown Victoria, complete with all the charm and quirks you’d expect from a vehicle that has served in law enforcement.

This car has 87,404 miles on it and has been maintained every 3,000 miles. The vehicle “starts with a boost and is drivable,” so bring your own jumper cables just in case.

Inside, the car features a black/grey cloth interior. The A/C runs cold, and the radio is stock AM/FM/CD. The tires still have 100% tread wear left. The car comes equipped with cruise control, tilt steering, remote mirrors, power steering, power windows, door locks, and seats. There are some “minor scratches/dings,” adding character but no cracks in any glass.

The exterior is black with all decals removed but some impressions remaining. Emergency equipment has been removed, so no need to worry about any lingering police duties.

The minimum bid for consideration is $5,000, and the vehicle is sold as-is. Sealed bids are accepted through 4 p.m. on May 31. Submit bids to the City Clerk at P.O. Box 350, Blakely, GA 39823 or 82 Court Square, Blakely, GA 39823.

For a pre-bid inspection, call Chris Warfield at 229-723-8822. The Mayor and Council have the right to refuse any bid.
