ROSWELL — The Children’s Development Academy turned the simple act of play into a pathway for future success for at-risk children, raising an impressive $80,000 at their third annual Party on our Playground event on October 14.
The event, which has quickly become a beacon of community engagement and support for early childhood education, welcomed over 200 attendees who enjoyed a spread of local cuisine, sipped on drinks, and were treated to tours of the facilities.
The Roswell High School Drumline brought rhythm to the cause, delivering a special performance that underscored the event’s lively and celebratory atmosphere.
Maggie DeCan, the CEO and Executive Director of CDA, expressed her exhilaration at the event’s success and its role in bringing the community closer to the heart of CDA’s mission. “Three years ago when we started Party on our Playground, we wanted to create an event that would invite the community into the school and onto our playground to learn more about what the CDA does and why high-quality early education is so important. We are thrilled to see this event grow and each year we introduce new people to our mission. I am so grateful to everyone who comes and supports the work we do.”
