GAINESVILLE — Northern Gainesville and Hall County residents will have access to top-quality healthcare services closer to home, thanks to the Northeast Georgia Health System plans for a new medical office park.
The 44-acre park, located along Highway 60, will be called Thompson Bridge Medical Park and will feature a 14,000-square-foot building — Medical Plaza 1 — at the corner of Thompson Bridge Road and Southers Road.
The $10.5 million building will be the first development in the park and is tentatively planned to open in 2024 as the new home of Northeast Georgia Physicians Group Thompson Bridge. The clinic will still provide the same primary care and weight loss services that patients know and love, but will also offer gynecology services in the new location.
“We’re thrilled to be expanding care options in this community. NGPG and NGHS remain focused on growing for the greater good of our community, and this project will help us do that now and in the years to come,” Daniel Tuffy, President and Chief Administrative Officer of Northeast Georgia Physicians Group said.
The park will be developed in several phases and will feature a combination of one-and two-story buildings with a total of 200,000 square feet to serve the healthcare needs of the growing area. Construction is expected to begin this summer.
The physicians at Thompson Bridge say they are excited about the new location and the opportunity to care for more patients in the area.
“Having a new space that will accommodate our patients even better than our practice does now will be such a welcomed change,” said Dr. Christy Wagner.
This new development will not only provide a larger facility for the Thompson Bridge practice but also the staff and space to welcome new patients and serve the healthcare needs of the community.
Construction is set to begin this summer.
