WOODSTOCK — The Outlet Shoppes at Atlanta wants to bring you out of hibernation after this recent cold snap with a slate of new events.

Events include Paint & Sip, Hatha yoga classes and a performance from a well-known local musician. In addition to these newest happenings, a popular store is set for a huge expansion.

Led by Aleigha Reott, a.k.a. Ms. Pink, Paint & Sip allows attendees to hone their painting and decorating skills as they create a masterpiece fit for their living room wall. While everyone channels their inner van Gogh, they can sip the evening away with their favorite adult beverage and enjoy food samples from nearby restaurants. Upcoming classes take place on Jan. 22, Feb. 26 and March 25 and last from 7 to 9 p.m.

For shoppers wanting to practice striking the perfect pose, Hatha yoga classes offer a chance to de- stress every other Monday starting in February. These classes will offer beginners a slower style of yoga by focusing on a classic approach to breathing and stretching. Sessions cost $30 each and are scheduled from 10 to 11 a.m. on Feb. 3 and 17 and March 2, 16 and 30. Classes are limited to 15 participants each, and you can secure your spot by calling 770-372-3591.

As an added perk, yoga class attendees can enter to win one $25 gift card, perfect for stocking up on workout gear from stores like Asics, Under Armour, Nike Factory Outlet and the soon-to-be-renovated Adidas Outlet Store. Adidas will more than double the size of their store, from 4,506 to 9,054 square feet, with construction slated to finish near the end of March.

“We’re proud of both the expansion and how we continue to offer experiential classes that bring the community together,” said Charlie Loughran, General Manager of The Outlet Shoppes at Atlanta. “Our entertainment options are chosen to appeal to a wide group of people, and this is just the beginning— many more events will soon be added to our schedule.”

Yoga and painting will share the spotlight with a toe-tapping musical performance in March. Born and raised in the hills of Clarkesville, Joseph Erwin will once again bring his soul-soothing vocals and energetic audience interaction to The Outlet Shoppes. He’ll take the stage on March 14 from 2 to 5 p.m. in center court.
