Rhodes Hall, one of Atlanta’s most famously haunted buildings, will host after-hours ghost tours on October 24, 29 and 30. The popular Legends and Lore Tour invites guests to explore the historic mansion and hear stories of unexplained footsteps, strange lights, and reported ghost sightings.

The 1904 Romanesque Revival home, often called the “Castle on Peachtree Street,” has been featured on several television programs including Ghost Hunters, Georgia’s Haunted Hidden Gems and Good Day Atlanta.

“The building has a long history of paranormal activity,” said staff at the Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation, which owns and operates Rhodes Hall. “Over the years, many guests and employees have shared their experiences here.”

Standard tours will begin at 6:30 and 7:30 p.m. each evening. A special Candlelight Hidden Spaces Tour, new this year, starts at 8:30 p.m. and gives visitors rare access to areas not usually open to the public, including the basement and the fourth-floor children’s playroom — two spots where much of the ghostly activity has been reported.

Tickets include drinks on the front porch before the tour, with beer, wine, soda and water available. Standard tours cost 45 dollars. Candlelight tours are 55 dollars. Tickets and additional information are available at www.georgiatrust.org/legends.

All proceeds support the Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation’s work to save and restore historic places across the state.
