While Donald Trump is running for president of the United States in 2024, Taylor Swift could play an important role in the election, too.

Many expect Swift to endorse Joe Biden for president in 2024, which could send millions of her fans to the polls. Trump, surely aware of this, is trying to convince her to endorse him.

“I signed and was responsible for the Music Modernization Act for Taylor Swift and all other Musical Artists,” he posted. “Joe Biden didn’t do anything for Taylor and never will. There’s no way she could endorse crooked Joe Biden, the worst and most corrupt president in the history of our country, and be disloyal to the man who made her so much money.”

It’s clear that Trump knows he doesn’t want to get into a popularity contest with Swift. If he did, the results wouldn’t be close.

A poll conducted by Monmouth University shows how much of a difference in likability there is between Swift and Trump.

Trump is far more unpopular than Swift. He has a 45% favorable to a 55% unfavorable rating among those with an opinion, according to an aggregate of recent polling. That puts his favorable rating about 25 to 30 points lower than Swift’s, depending on the poll.

Swift has a far bigger likability rating, with 75 percent of those with an opinion of her having a positive one.
