Police are asking for your help to find a driver who hit and killed a person in Rex and then drove away. The incident happened late Thursday night on a local highway.

What’s Happening: On Friday morning, Clayton County police found a person who had been killed by a vehicle on Highway 42 near Sunset Hills Boulevard. Investigators say they believe the person was struck between 11 p.m. and midnight the night before.

What’s Important: The driver did not stop after hitting the person and fled the area before police arrived. Now, investigators need tips from the public to solve the case.

The Vehicle: Police believe the car involved is dark gray or black. It will have damage to the passenger side front end and mirror.
