A nine-year-old’s disclosure last year led to a life sentence for a former stepfather who sexually assaulted the child in Ringgold.

What Happened: On October 1, a jury found Damien Doming guilty of Aggravated Sodomy on a Child Less than Ten Years of Age, Aggravated Child Molestation, Incest, and Child Molestation. Catoosa County Superior Court Judge Chris Arnt sentenced him to life in prison.

The child revealed the abuse in 2024. The assaults happened when Doming and the child lived together in Ringgold.

📢 What Officials Said: District Attorney Clayton M. Fuller said his office prioritizes cases involving vulnerable victims. “If you harm the most vulnerable in our circuit — the ones we have a duty as men to protect — we are going to find you, hunt you down, and put you in prison for the rest of your miserable life,” Fuller said.
