MONROE — Police are asking for the public’s help identifying a purse snatcher who held a woman at gunpoint August 13.
The City of Monroe Police Department and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation are on the look out for a subject involved in an armed robbery.
Police were called out to East Marable Street where a woman was held at gun point by a shirtless, black male subject believed to be in his late twenties.
The victim’s purse and wallet were stolen and the subject quickly fled on foot before police arrived.
The GBI was able to provide a sketch of the robber. The object seen on his head was possibly a shirt. Police consider the man to be armed and dangerous and ask anyone with any information to contact Detective Westbrooks at (770) 549-6564.
