A 19-year-old Atlanta man is behind bars after a pedestrian was killed early Sunday in a hit-and-run crash on Peachtree Road near Dresden Drive.

Brookhaven police responded just before 2 a.m. Sunday to reports of a pedestrian struck in the southbound lanes of Peachtree Road. Despite efforts to save him, the man died at the scene. Authorities have not released his name, pending family notification.

The driver fled south into Atlanta, but investigators tracked the vehicle using Flock cameras and license plate readers. With help from Atlanta police, they found and arrested Kendall Hudson, who was booked on multiple charges including homicide by vehicle, hit and run, DUI, reckless driving, and failure to report the accident.
