BRUNSWICK — A 28-year-old Brunswick man has been arrested and charged with murder in connection with a shootout at the Bamboo Lounge in January that killed one man and injured five more people.
According to the Glynn County Police Department, officers responded to a shooting at Bamboo Lounge on Jan. 15, at about 12:30 a.m.
An off-duty officer working on the outside called for assistance after hearing several shots from inside the club.
According to police, the preliminary investigation revealed that two men were in a verbal dispute when guns were drawn. Shots were fired by both males leaving six victims ranging in ages of 25 to 52 with gunshot wounds.
Five victims, four women and one man were transported to Southeast Georgia Health Systems. A sixth victim, a man, was transported to an undisclosed medical facility. Three of the victims were treated and released from the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Brandon Capers, age 32, of Brunswick died from his injuries.
On Jan. 16 arrest warrants for murder, possession of a firearm by convicted felon and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime were issued for Antonio Duncan.
On Wednesday, July 27, Duncan was apprehended by the United States Marshals’ Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force.
Duncan has been charged with felony murder, possession of a firearm during commission of a crime and possession of a firearm by convicted felon.
