4 Cobb County Businesses Busted For Selling Alcohol to Underage Customers

Start

On Saturday, November 16, the Cobb County Police Department tested seven businesses to see if they would sell alcohol to someone under 21. The test was part of an effort to keep alcohol away from teens.

Four businesses sold alcohol to an underage volunteer. Three businesses followed the law and refused to sell.

Who Failed: These businesses failed and sold alcohol to the underage volunteer:

Fifth Third Stadium at 3200 George Busbee Parkway, Kennesaw (sold alcohol four times in one day)

Cobb Quick Mart at 855 South Cobb Drive, Marietta

Valero at 1709 South Cobb Drive, Marietta

Chevron at 3053 Cobb Pkwy, Kennesaw 30152

Why This Matters: Selling alcohol to teens is against the law. It’s also dangerous. Businesses that fail these tests can get fines or even lose their alcohol license. Compliance checks like this one are important for keeping teens safe and helping businesses stay responsible.

What You Can Do:

If you’re a business owner: Make sure your staff is trained to check IDs every time.

If you’re a parent: Talk to your kids about why drinking underage is risky.

If you’re part of the community: Report any businesses you see selling alcohol to teens.

⚠️ Reminder: Crime articles contain only charges and information from police reports and law enforcement statements. Suspects and defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
