SOUTH FULTON — The City of South Fulton will begin the New Year with the swearing-in of its newly elected and re-elected council members.
Corey A. Reeves will be sworn in and joins the City of South Fulton City Council to represent District 5, the seat previously held by Rosie Jackson. District 1 Councilwoman Catherine Rowell, District 3 Councilwoman Helen Zenobia Willis and District 7 Councilman Mark Baker will also be sworn-in.
“This ceremony marks a new day for leadership in the City of South Fulton,” said Mayor William “Bill” Edwards. “Congratulations to all who have been re-elected and those who have been elected for the first time.”
The celebration will include a live performance of the national anthem, presentation of colors, after which council members will take the oath of office.

The event will be held in the theatre of Westlake High School at 2400 Union Road SW in Atlanta Saturday, Jan. 11 at 12 p.m.
The city council will hold its first work session and meeting on Tuesday, Jan. The session will begin at 5 p.m. and the council meeting will follow at 7 p.m at the South Fulton Arts Center at 4645 Butner Road in College Park.
