The Details: The recall affects five Lactaid milk products, all of which were distributed between September 5 and September 18, 2024, to retailers and wholesalers in 27 states. The states impacted include Alabama, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.

The issue was discovered during routine maintenance, which indicated the possibility of trace almond contamination. The specific products under recall include Lactaid Whole Milk, Lactaid 2% Milk, Lactaid 1% Milk, Lactaid Fat Free Milk, and Lactaid 2% Calcium Enriched Milk. The affected cartons carry the code “51-4109 P2” and various best-by dates ranging from November 22, 2024, to December 5, 2024.

To date, no illnesses have been reported in connection with this recall.
