More details have emerged about Deputy Brandon Cunningham, who was killed in the line of duty on Saturday.

The incident occurred at approximately 6:13 p.m., as Cunningham responded to a domestic dispute on Foggy Creek Lane in the Harmony Creek subdivision in Hiram.

The Details: Deputy Cunningham, alongside his partner, arrived at the residence following a report of a domestic dispute. As Cunningham exited his patrol vehicle, a male suspect ambushed him and shot at him before he could react. The suspect continued to fire from inside the residence, preventing Cunningham’s partner and additional deputies from reaching him.

Victim Update: The female victim, whom police identified as 52-year-old Kim Thao Vu, the wife of the suspect, was also shot while attempting to flee the scene shortly after Cunningham was attacked. She remains in stable but serious condition.
