DOUGLAS -- A 15-year-old boy was shot and killed Monday evening and a juvenile suspect is in custody.

DOUGLAS — A 15-year-old boy was shot and killed Monday evening and a juvenile suspect is in custody.

According to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office responded to a home on Creekwood Rd., Douglas. Upon arrival, deputies found 15-year-old Ja’rique Johan Brown dead from an apparent gunshot wound.

Brown’s body will be transported to the GBI Medical Examiner’s office for an autopsy. As a result of investigative acts conducted by Agents and Coffee County Investigators, a juvenile was arrested and charged with one count of Felony Murder.

The juvenile was transported to the Waycross Youth Detention Center in Waycross, Georgia.

Additional arrests are expected in this investigation.
