The Gwinnett County Fire Department has responded to two downed trees that hit houses and one that hit an apartment building Thursday in the wake of Hurricane Sally.
Firefighters were on the scene of a tree down on a house on the 1500 block of Rock Springs Road, in Buford. The call was dispatched today at 9:21 a.m. Crews found a large pine tree down on the house with substantial damage to the structure.
Occupants were home at the time and escaped unharmed. There were no injuries reported.
Firefighters responded at 6:48 a.m. to a report of a tree down against the back of an apartment building on the 700 block of Wynhollow Trace in Norcross.

Crews arrived to find a large tree that fell against the building. Limbs from the tree penetrated the roof of one apartment unit. There was no major structural damage.
Occupants were home asleep at the time and no injuries were reported.
Firefighters responded at 7:40 a.m. to an occupant report of a tree down on a house on the 800 block of Eagle Creek Court in Lawrenceville. Crews found a large pine tree that penetrated the roof of a two-story house. There was no major structural damage, but the tree did penetrate the roof and ceiling in a few areas of the home.
Three people were home at the time and no injuries were reported.
