A 37-year-old man from Soperton died early Saturday morning after a crash on I-16 West, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

- The crash occurred at 1:49 a.m. on I-16 West, east of Exit 6, Ocmulgee East Boulevard.
- Deputies found the victim unresponsive inside a Ford F-150 pickup truck parked in the emergency lane.
- A 22-year-old driver from Senoia, Georgia, driving a Chevrolet Silverado utility truck, lost control, veered off the road, and struck the Ford F-150 from behind.
- The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by Deputy Coroner Ronnie Miley.
- The victim’s body is being sent to the GBI Crime Lab for an autopsy.
