DOCK JUNCTION — The Glynn County Police Department is investigating a hit and run incident involving a bicyclist.
On Friday, July 12, 2019, at about 12:45 p.m. Glynn County Fire and Police personnel responded to a traffic crash on Habersham Street near Key Drive.
According to police, 33-year-old Glynn County resident Jason Poore was traveling North on Habersham Street on a bicycle when a vehicle, also traveling North, struck him. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene.
Poore was transported to the Southeast Georgia Health System’s Brunswick Campus Emergency Department in stable condition.
Police say they believe the offending vehicle is possibly a small GMC or Chevrolet truck or SUV which will be missing an aftermarket passenger side mirror.
The Glynn County Police Department Traffic Enforcement Unit is investigating the crash and is asking anyone who has information regarding this investigation to contact Officer Shane Nolen at 912-554-3645 or the Silent Witness Line at 912-264-1333.
