Drivers in the Atlanta metro area should prepare for delays as lane closures are scheduled on Ga. 400 bridges for maintenance and rehabilitation work this weekend.

One right lane will be closed between the I-85/SR 400 interchange and the Glenridge Connector starting at 11 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 22, and lasting until 4 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 24, weather permitting. Crews will move closures to different locations as work progresses.

The $1.9 million project involves bridge preservation activities, including copolymer overlay and joint replacements, and is expected to be completed by fall 2024.

Electronic message boards will alert drivers to traffic changes, and motorists are urged to use signed detours, reduce speed, and exercise caution in work zones.
