BUFORD — A collision on I-85 Northbound claimed a 22-year-old man’s life Monday morning.
According to the Gwinnett Coulty Police Dept., 22-year-old Clayton Dickie was traveling northbound on I-85 near Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road in unincorporated Suwanee.
Dickie was driving a black GMC Sierra. Police say at some point, he left the roadway and struck an unoccupied vehicle parked along the right shoulder.
Both vehicles caught fire and Dickie ultimately died. At this point, it is still not known if he died as a result of the collision or the fire.
Investigators are still working to identify the owner of the unoccupied vehicle.
